GlobalIPCo creates +60,000 South African trademark monitoring reports monthly

GlobalIPCo is the largest generator of South African trademark monitoring reports, creating +60,000 monitoring reports monthly.

These reports are automatically generated within a day of publication of the South African trademark journal using SimTM Technology, and made available without charge.

Each report includes details of phonetically similar marks, grouped into four categories – “Most relevant”, “Relevant”, “Of interest” and “Additional”.

South African trademarks are open for opposition for a period of 3 months following publication in the Journal.

Historically, due to the cost of trademark monitoring services, owners of large trademark portfolios monitored only select trademarks. However, with SimTM technology, trademark owners can now receive monitoring reports for their entire South African trademark portfolio without charge.

Even if you don’t have a trademark number, you can add a mark and class to their watching search facility and see similar marks that were published 4-12 months ago.
