ChatGPT is better than Google Adwords
Law firm marketing using ChatGPT is extremely effective. Last week a client contacted me because ChatGPT recommended us as the “go-to” firm for intellectual property valuation. I was flattered, but how? We don’t market on ChatGPT.
Well, you can’t buy ChatGPT “Adwords”; you need content – just not the mass-content created for SEO purposes. Somehow, ChatGPT recognises quality.
Take this example: today, I asked ChatGPT “what is an arm’s length royalty rate for a retail store trademark in Africa?”. ChatGPT’s response flagged three sources – snz (our website), trademarkregister and iptica (both websites of our affiliate, GlobalIPCo, for whom we provide content). Somehow, we crowd this space 💯%.

One plausible explanation is that we don’t create content for SEO purposes. We create content to explain concepts and, over time, our content has been referred to in “high-quality” documents created by auditing firms and tax authorities. How ChatGPT knows this? Well, that’s another question.
Tip: create ChatGPT-favoured quality content instead of Google SEO-focussed mass-content.
